Key
- the italicized names are staff members on the schedule to cover that class, who would be grateful to anyone who could take on that session. we might even arrange to get you coffee!
- the (+person) is the assistant; either a new teacher observing or an experienced teacher backing up a new teacher.
- any blank spot is a date when there is no staff person available to cover, so we'll have to find a teacher (or teachers) for that date or reschedule the students who are already signed up.
If you want to teach
Scheduled classes
- Find a date and time that will work for you; if there's a staff person teaching, replace their name with yours.
Unscheduled classes
- Check the Room Schedule page to make sure the meeting room is not being used.
- Arrange to have a class schedule sheet put in the Class Schedule book at the Front Desk
- Put the date, time and your name on this page (in the same format as the regularly scheduled classes.
Thursday afternoon
Advanced Adoption classes happen on Thursdays. The pace of the class is faster, students have experience working with computers either at school or work. More advanced subjects are covered.
Observing
If you want to observe or assist, put your name next to the teacher already on the schedule (+you).
It's polite to let the person you'll be teaching with (or teaching in place of) know that you've claimed that spot on the schedule. If you don't know how to contact them - try emailing the adoptionteachers list. All of the teachers should be subscribed to that.
