Events Database

Josh Evans is excited about working on an events database for us. With it, we'd be able to keep the contacts of people who hosted booths, played music, sponsored the event, and volunteered for the event. Then we can see if they want to participate again for future events. The database will also allow boothers, volunteers, etc., to sign up to participate through a web page. Woop!

What Would Be Nice

  • Volunteers section
  • Booths section
  • Entertainers section
  • Sponsorship section
  • In-Kind donors section

Other Stuff

Contact info for each section, including a notes field

We want to be able to run queries and call up emails, which event did they do (if any - we figure we'll keep contact info for people who we'll solicit who won't participate, but we'll keep trying). When we run a query, it probably shouldn't go back too far, as we wouldn't want to keep contacting an organization that had a booth 5 years ago and just doesn't wanna do it anymore. Maybe a 5-year cutoff? Also, perhaps there should be a way for us to make organizations or individuals inactive in the database - perhaps they went under or moved out of Portland.

Activity tracking: we want to be able to know which time we contacted them actually received a response - Josh should talk to Oso about this
