Theme
Medieval Times
- Ideas: make scarves for each crew; give/get scarf before competing, get nookie if you win.
Overall Schedule
Need a decision on this one soon. Should we:
- Have as many events as possible?
- Have a medium number of events?
- Keep it mellow and focus on a few, epic events
These things should be kept in mind: lowered participation if fewer events, too much stuff to do for a bunch of people who're drunk all weekend with no sleep, coordination effort.

- agent.lapis [at] gmail.com
Infrastructure/Ideas:
- Scorekeepers and Judges shouldn't be the same people. Judges decide who wins, scorekeepers keep track of it all.
- All Participants and Judges in a given event should be noted.
- A whiteboard may be helpful when a lot of events are taking place at once.
- I have 5"x7" cards for noting the placers in each event & will purchase several sheets of posterboard for people to see who to watch at events. After Friday night's events, the frontrunners will be listed at the top, newcomers filled in below.
- Facts listed: overall points, overall participation and the average.
- I'm not exactly sure how to decide the minibike winner. Highest average would be a good idea, but if someone only participates in habanero events and places in those, they'd be a shoo-in. Most points could go to someone who hardly ever places but competes in almost everything. *ack!*
SCORE!
- Five different scoring ratings for two types of events (single heat or "vs" multi-heat):
- Poblano: single heat with no chance for injury; ie mini & chariot beauty contests
- Non-placing participants receive no points. 1st place gets 3, 2nd 2 & 3rd 1.
- Pepperoncini: multi-heat with little chance for injury; ie tricycle chug relay
- Heat winners receive 2 points, losers 1.
- JalapeƱo: single-heat with average chance for injury; ie standard races & bombs
- Non-placing participants receive 1 point. 1st place gets 4, 2nd 3 & 3rd 2.
- Chipotle: multi-heat with average to high chance for injury; ie whiplash, jousts & deathjam
- Heat winners receive 3 points, losers 2.
- Habanero: single-heat with high chance for injury or particularly grueling; ie derbies, chariot deth match & badass challenge.
- Non-placing participants receive 2 points. 1st place gets 5, 2nd 4 & 3rd 3.
- Poblano: single heat with no chance for injury; ie mini & chariot beauty contests
- Cupcake Challenge and its spinoff events are incomparable to other events and should have arbitrary frosting ratings as all cupcake challenge participants are winners.
