New Server Room

Here's a timeline of major events in the new server room.

  • Februrary, 2005
    • String temporary cables over the top of the "rafters" to the first column of shelves.
    • Move current servers temporarily onto the first column of shelves.
  • March, 2005
    • Bolt down overhead ladder (Nathan)
    • Place and bolt down hub / switch / patch panel racks (Nathan)
    • Bolt down shelving / Move servers to permanent location on shelves (Nathan)
    • Move server rack into place
    • Build permanent cables
    • Move servers from old server room (and elsewhere) into new server room

(NOTE: Current servers means the servers that are already in the new server room, as opposed to those in the old server room or elsewhere at Free Geek.)
