* Teach students of varying experience and ability basic computer skills 
* Gather computers and peripherals for each student in the class
* Give students an orientation to the Ubuntu GNOME desktop GUI
* Teach students the basics on how to use Ubuntu for tasks such as websurfing and word processing
* Answer questions asked during class 
* Inform students about their options for tech support
* Encourage students to take other available monthly classes 
* Clean up the classroom after classes
* Complete a small amount of paperwork (equipment checkout)

* Knowledge of basic computer use 
* A high level of patience
* An interest in teaching people from a range of backgrounds 
* A desire to work with people 
* Knowledge of GNU/Linux 
* Ability to lift a monitor (up to 30 pounds)
* Understand Free Geek and Open Source philosophy
* Self-motivated and self-managing with minimal supervision
* Fluency in Spanish is a big plus, but not required
