One thing the mothership could do to make a new Free Geek start up more easily is to provide a computer pre-fitted with all the major images a new Free Geek might use, for instance:<br /> <br /> * [[FreekBox]]<br /> * An Application Server with a similar set of software to a FreekBox<br /> * A database server using ([[FGdb]])<br /> * A hardware diagnosis server ([[FGdiag]])<br /> * Web and mail server <br /> <br /> The idea is that a new Free Geek could order one of these boxes from our grants program and we would ship it, along with enough instructions to build a diskless lab, an imaging server for a build program, a database for gizmo and volunteer entry, etc. The box would come with a minimal instruction manual on paper that would get them up and running.
