This procedure seems complicated, but it can easily be completed in less than 10 minutes. It basically involves removing the display and the top cover so that you can get to the battery.

#Remove the main battery, hard drive, keyboard and switch cover (the plate above the keyboard).
#Remove the optical drive
#Remove the touch pad
#Unthread the antenna wires from the wireless card
#Remove the display panel
#Remove the top cover
#Remove the CMOS battery
#Replace the battery assembly and reverse the process to reassemble.
