Go to HPLIP site

Click on "Download HPLIP"

Follow steps 1 through 4 on proceeding page.

Step 1 - Select distribution (Ubuntu)

Step 2 - Select version (10.04)

Step 3 - Select printer type (Deskjet, etc...)

Step 4 - Select model (Deskjet 4800 350ic, etc...)

Click "Next"

Click "Next"

Click "Next"

(This is not a mistake, you will click "Next" three times.)

Click on the "Download HPLIP" black button

Wait 5 seconds for sourceforge and then save the file.

Go to the location you saved the file. (Most likely "Downloads")

Right click on the "hplip-3.11.5.run" and click on "properties"

Click on the "Permissions" tab and tick the check box that says "Allow executing file as program"

Close the properties box

Double click on the "hplip-3.11.5.run" file and select "Run"

Follow the prompts that HPLIP directs the user to do.
It is important that when they reach the step of restarting the printer, that this is physically done on the printer.
Once completed, the user will be prompted to press Enter
