Agenda:

I. Credit Card info. -
- can we use debit cards as creditcards
- due to the fact that we don't
have the keypads
- can we get keypads?
- signatures
- someone with good credit. What does that mean? Why can't free geek sign-it?
- What do they really need? Richard to find out.
- Extra phone lines needed, how much is that going to cost?
- check verification
- who seleted the service we are checking out. Might be based on reuse of existing equipment
- might not be the best criteria for selection of a service.
- Needs more research. Assign a someone to check it out. Laurel? Richard to contact.

II. Fiscal sponsorship
- lots of stuff that is really scary.
- Should not have prior relationship, responsible for payroll and lot's of other stuff.

III. Mailings
- We should do
- Marie wants to help make happen
- other issues - some techincal - some financial
- need to get the "ok to mail" check box part of the system at the front desk.
- Funding development committee needed
- add to council agenda. Poke Marie for ideas.
- Committee needs balance of technocrats and outreach types.

IV. Hacienda
- want to know capacity, how much will it cost per computer?

Currently, tuesdays and saturdays are the peaks, probably due to being closed on mondays.

- changes the holiday schedule to be more sane.
- more volunteers available on Saturday, possibly Sunday? (revphil - not pressent)
- sunday reserved for "work party" stuff, special build, labor ect? (revphil - not pressent)

Categories of current Holidays are:
- Ghost town days - Christmas, Thanksgiving, 4th of July - makes sense to be closed
- Major known - Labor Day, Memorial Day - some expectaton of being closed
- Bank/Commie Days - Columbus Day, MLK, Prez., Mayday - WTF? your closed???

-- how to staff it? - more staff, more staff hours (i.e. 40 hr. week).

We should send a poll to the staff, see what folks want to do. How many
hours more would you want to work? 32 to 40 hour increases. What if more
time was spent on committee work, but staff meetings were reduced.
Richard will make poll. Start with staff, before going to council.

Dave has the answer: increasing hours is more efficient than adding
staff and does not increase overhead.

Commits:

- Richard to contact Credit Card co. we are currently dealing with, find out what they want.
-Richard to ask Laurel to research credit card companies to se what the best thing is for FG.
