New page

What's covered?

* System hardware
* Limited Tech Support
* Hardware installation (on purchases from thrift store)

What's not covered?

Windows installation/issues
Accidental Damage (droping, spillage, etc)
Laptops?

==How long?==

Up to 2 years?
An intial period of 90 days will be covered starting in Nov. To extend this to another 6 months we could charge $10-15, and extend it to a year would be $20. 2 years, would be $30-40 which would cover the cost of a new system (assuming its not a high end system)

==How much?==

We need to decide on either a flat rate or a % of sale cost. % would probably be more fair, but we might also consider only offering extended warranties on more expensive systems. The cost of the warranty should be about the price of a replacement system would cost in a year. ie: a $100 machine today would cost less then $100 to replace a year from now. We dont expect the entire system to fail anyway, our biggest issues will probably be individual hardware replacements like hard drives.
