Voter FAQ (for tenants and apartment managers)
- am I eligible to vote?
- If you are a citizen of the USA and will be 18 by election day, then yes.
- What does registering to vote get me?
- The ability to vote (must register at least 21 days before election.) The ability to sign petitions (ballot measures, candidates, etc.)
- When do I need to register?
- As soon as you move. Under Oregon law, you are no longer registered once you move, unless you fill in a new card. (You can also use the card to change your name or party affiliation.)
- Can I vote in a primary?
- If you register with a party, you may vote in the primary elections for that party. (Some parties may allow you to vote even if you're not affiliated with them; neither of the major parties does.)
