Hi, my name is Michael McCall. I'm currently a builder, and an adoption teacher. I'll be spending time around Free Geek full-time during the time I'm in town for the summer if you need to find me. Days when I'll not be around will be posted soon.
I'm still trying to get my samba server to work. Anybody know what port I need to point my browser?

Samba (SMB)
Samba doesn't use http, so you should be able to access it without knowing the port, either by going to
\\servername\
or smb://servername/
(depending on platform, and various such)
What program would I use to do that? I tried Mozilla Firefox on smb://localhost/, but it came up with nothing. Should I try Konqueror?

Konqueror is a better bet than Firefox.
Say smb://servername/sharename
I don't think it will work without the name of the share.
