Basic Info

Collaborative Technologies (aka Collab) is a program of Free Geek. The general idea behind Collab is to encourage nonprofit organization to use free and open source software. To accomplish this we hired a coordinator to that end and formed a group of consultants that would work for pay, in theory providing cheap services for the nonprofits and providing some income for Free Geek.

Our first big project, developing the hardware and software infrastructure for Homestreet (mental health provider in Washington County), is nearing completion.

We are now reconsidering how Collab will work in the future as we have learned much on this first project.
