Structure
Definitions
In these bylaws, unless the context otherwise requires:
"Free Geek" means the incorporated society legally named Free Geek Community Technology Centre Society
“directors” means the directors of the society for the time being;
“Society Act” means the Society Act of British Columbia from time to time in force and all amendments to it;
The definitions in the Society Act on the date these bylaws become effective apply to these bylaws.
Words importing the singular include the plural and vice versa, and words importing a male person include a female person and a corporation.
Membership
1. The members of Free Geek are the applicants for incorporation of Free Geek, and those persons who subsequently become members, in accordance with these bylaws and, in either case, have not ceased to be members.
2. A person may ask for a volunteer number for membership in Free Geek and on receiving a volunteer number is a member.
3. There is no fee associated with membership.
4. All members can volunteer.
5. Members do not need to verify their given name or address.
6. All members can block as defined in section (blank blank)

2. A block is defined as "a persons intent on terminating their membership with Free Geek as a result of a paticular decision or direction at a Free Geek meeting"
3. In order for a member to block they must have attended three Free Geek meetings. Of these three meetings, one must be a general council meeting.
