Salary/Benefits
  • Wages are $11.55 per hour.
  • Length of job: 28 weeks
Work Hours
  • Part-time, 24 hours per week.
  • Four days per week or five shorter days, Tuesday through Saturday, 10:30am to 7:30pm, some evening or morning meetings, with some flexibility

Required Skills

  • Aptitude for and enjoyment of helping people
  • Some hardware knowledge
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, and able to eventually work with little supervision
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong organizational skills (you like to put stuff in order)
  • Able to lift and carry at least 30 pounds on a daily basis
  • Cash handling experience a plus
  • Fluency in Spanish a plus, but not required

In Addition

The ideal candidate will be able to work well under stress in a somewhat chaotic setting and maintain a positive attitude. Furthermore, the candidate will be able to upkeep the area almost entirely without supervision. The candidate will be able to be flexible as Free Geek grows and changes. Finally, the ideal candidate will provide a welcoming environment for volunteers.
