Job Title: Recycling Skills Trainer Hours Weekly: At least 4 hours/week Days Per Week: At least 1 day/week Length of Internship:Minimum 3 months Training: Orientation and Training provided Free Geek Supervisor: Liane and Darryl, Recycling Co-Coordinators

Responsibilities

• Learn recycling process for volunteers
• Teach process to new volunteers,
• Teach tool use to new volunteers
• Teach sorting of material to new volunteers
• Support volunteers with challenging tasks
• Staff tool check-out station

• Not afraid of getting dirty
• An interest in teaching people from a range of backgrounds
• Experience using hand tools a plus
• Ability to speak Spanish a plus

The ideal candidate will be able to work well under stress and maintain a positive attitude in a relatively chaotic setting. The candidate will not be afraid to ask questions, but will be able to work on projects almost entirely without supervision. The candidate will be able to remain flexible as Free Geek grows and changes.
