Reuse Week began in 2009 and is organized by the Reuse PDX group in conjunction with Commissioner Nick Fish and Multnomah County Chair Jeff Cogen.
Reuse Week 2009
- This consisted primarily as a donation drive at the Community Warehouse's old site.
- Free Geek created a website for Reuse Week
Reuse Week 2010
- June 9th - June 16th
- June 9th @ 9:30 am, Commissioner Nick Fish will declare Reuse Week at City Council
- June 10th @ 9:30 am, County Chair Jeff Cogen will declare Reuse Week at County Council
- June 12th (time TBD) is the big event which brings all the Reuse PDX organizations together. It will be held outside the Rebuilding Center on N Mississippi.
- This event coincides with the annual Cirque du Cycling on Mississippi, so we're expecting some great foot traffic.
- No donation drive - each organization will have their own event of their choosing at their own site on a designated day during Reuse Week. Schedule TBD.
- Reuse PDX will offer 10%-off coupons (good at any Reuse PDX organization) to any person who donates materials/participates in their event.
- Free Geek is again responsible for the website, which is in the works.
