How to get on this list
This is a list of certified Free Geek packrats. Core volunteers that need to take gizmos off site for testing or similar reasons can request to be added to this list by sending a message to staff at freegeek dot org and indicating why they need to do this. The collective will discuss the matter at their next possible meeting. The staff can revoke also this privilege at a staff meeting.
Hard drives and other media that could store personal data are not allowed to be removed from Free Geek until they have been wiped.
Upon returning items to Free Geek, items should be returned to their appropriate areas.
Notes
Volunteers who are not on the packrats list must get approval from a staff member and record the information in the "Borrow Book" located at the Front Desk. (This was the old policy -- may not be recorded anywhere -- but was reaffirmed at staff meeting on April 27, 2006.)
