Responsibilities
- Organize the Laptop area to maintain and increase workspace and efficiency
- Work floor shifts coordinating volunteers in Laptop Build
- Accomplish Laptop program development including process refinement and documentation
- Keep the Laptop Build area orderly and stocked with needed computer components.
- Ensure a steady supply of completed laptops for Thrift Store and Hardware Grants Program
- Manage Laptop Build volunteers and volunteer interns including (but not limited to) provide laptop repair education, solicit feedback, remove inappropriately-placed volunteers
- Coordinate with Warehouse staff regarding laptop recycling practices
- Maintain ongoing communications with Tech Support and Thrift Store regarding common laptop issues
- Maintain ongoing communications with the Thrift Store regarding range of salable laptop features
- Designate laptops for specific Hardware Grants, communicate with HWG shepherds
- Coordinate with other members of the Production team
- Be an active member of the Production Committee
- Participate in collective management structure
- Take on tasks and committees unrelated to Laptop Program coordination
- Attend Staff meetings, and other meetings as necessary

- Work well under stress in an unusual setting, maintaining a positive attitude even in the face of adversity

- Not afraid to ask questions, but able to work on projects almost entirely without supervision
- Ability to remain flexible as Free Geek grows and changes
- Must be available all day Saturdays
