About Burning Distributions

Any operating system CD we sell needs to be an ISO file so it is recognized by the computer as a bootable disk. If you are downloading Ubuntu from ubuntu.com it will be an ISO. Remember to select "Burn CD image" (as an ISO) when using Brasero or K3b.

Using the cloner

  • Make sure that you are using new CD-Rs (no CDRW!)
  • Make sure that the disk in the top drive is the master that you want
  • Make sure that all the drives that do not have an "X" on them have new disks
  • Use the front-mounted controls to start burning
  • Check a minute or two later to see if any of the disks were rejected/did burn
