Very outdated, currently at minimum HDD are pulled from all systems, CRT systems are gutted and recycled as CRTs. Parts are allocated as available for rebuilding. The chart on the wall is basically up-to-date in terms of deciding which systems are recycled, AS-ISed, or warrantied. Old Mac Keeper List will need to be reevaluated as we have no further capacity for storing legacy stuff.

This Evaluation process is quite outdated. Please take it with a grain of salt and do not use as a guide in Mac Incoming. New procedure should be on its way soonish.

In addition, there is a display test for incoming systems and an occasionally updated list of Old Macs that are set aside for volunteers that have experience working with them.
Processing instructions
GREEN LIGHT
System
- Pull HD, RAM, battery, and any cards
- Do not pull video cards or optical drives
- Send to MacBuild area for building
System w/ CRT
- Pull RAM and battery
- Send to MacBuild for HD wiping and building
System w/ LCD
- Send to MacBuild for HD wiping and building
YELLOW LIGHT
System
- Pull HD, RAM, battery, all cards, and exceptional components.
- Tally system on tally sheet.
- Affix a yellow light recycle sticker.
- Place on Prebuild's cart when finished.
System w/ CRT
- Pull HD, RAM, battery, and exceptional components
- Remove all other drives
- Leave logic board on system (unless it needs to be removed to pull HD)
- Secure cover(s) back on CRT
- Tally unit on tally sheet
- Place CRT in warehouse
- If unit does not have an UNCOVERED ELECTRONIC DEVICE label, place in the CED CRT gaylord in the warehouse
- If unit does has an UNCOVERED ELECTRONIC DEVICE label, place in the non-CED CRT gaylord in the warehouse
System w/ LCD
- Pull HD, RAM, battery, and exceptional components
- Reassemble remainder and place in parts area of the Mac shelf in warehouse
RED LIGHT
System
- Pull HD and place it on the floor in front of Prebuild's HD bin.
- Place system on Prebuild's cart
System w/ CRT
- Pull HD and place it on the floor in front of Prebuild's incoming HD bin
- Remove all other drives from CRT
- Leave logic board on system (unless it needs to be removed to pull HD)
- Secure cover(s) back on CRT
- Place CRT in warehouse:
- If unit does not have an UNCOVERED ELECTRONIC DEVICE label, place in the CED CRT gaylord in the warehouse
- If unit does has an UNCOVERED ELECTRONIC DEVICE label, place in the non-CED CRT gaylord in the warehouse
System w/ LCD

- If unit has an UNCOVERED ELECTRONIC DEVICE label, place in the non-CED LCD shelf in the warehouse
- Recycle the remainder
