Desktops

01/2014: this section needs to be updated now that the Mac OS can be installed on computers


iMac PPC

Only build if requested by the store.

These will be an As-Is machine. The specs for these are 80-100gb WIPED Hard Drive and 2gb of RAM

iMac Intel (All-in-one LCD)

Core 2 Duo and above are to be built with Mac OS, all other Intel based iMacs lower than Core 2 Duo are to be built as an As-Is, with the same As-Is specs as the PPC iMacs.

Core 2 Duo and higher are to have a 250-320gb HDD and 4gb of RAM.

Power Mac (PPC Processors)

Only build if requested by the store.

These will be an As-Is machine. The specs for these are 80-100gb WIPED Hard Drive and 4gb of RAM

Mac Pro (Intel)

Build with Linux OS. The specs for these are a minimum of a 320gb HDD and a minimum of 4gb of RAM.

Build:

MacBook – Core 2 Duo below 2.4GHz 2GB of RAM, 100-120GB HDD

MacBook – Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz or higher 4GB of RAM, 160-320GB HDD

MacBook Pro

As-Is: Remove existing hard drive. Install 1-2GB of RAM, install wiped HDD if available. Verify the machine will POST. Systems with broken screens, keyboards, etc, are to be recycled.

MacBook Pro – Core Duo

Build: MacBook Pro - Core 2 Duo below 2.4GHz 2GB of RAM, 120-160GB HDD

MacBook Pro – Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz or higher 4GB of RAM, 250-500GB HDD

MacBook Pro – Core i series 4GB of RAM or higher, 250-500GB HDD

MacBook Air

Currently (10/2013), MacBook Airs are to be fully wiped, then tested with a Mac OS (they only accept a USB boot). They will be sold As-Is, with the charger. They WILL NOT have an OS installed on them To be updated (01/2014)
