Familiarize Yourself with Connectors
First, get a box of cards to be sorted, pour them into a pile in the center of the table, and rummage through them, looking for these connector types:

RJ11 | (like for a phone) | |
RJ45 | (bigger than an RJ11) | |
BNC | (sticks out, like for cable TV) | |

Notes
- There will be other connector types, but the above ones are all you need to pay attention to in order to sort cards like we need them sorted at Free Geek.
- Do not just sort the cards into piles based on the these port types. Instead, use the flow chart to determine the actual piles.
