Scope
This position works to empower local voices using emerging media and reused technology.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the exposure of Free Geek to new communities using a variety of media tools
- Keep records/status/inventory (tracking) of equipment
- Responsible for program setup
- Coordinate with Free Geek education Program
- Coordinate with Free Geek Outreach program and media partners to disseminate final content
- Schedule media classes
- Ensure content of classes
- Recruit student candidates and volunteer instructions
- Track student progress and hours
- Produce final reports
- Coordinate with appropriate parties to obtain infrastructure
- Coordinate with media partners to enhance education component of program
- Attend Education Committee meetings
- Document curriculum and content of classes
- Research and integrate new technologies as they arise
- Fulfill requirements of Grant
