[edit] send some macs directly from receiving to eval

1. sending PowerMac G4s and possibly iMac G3s directly to regular eval vice Mac eval might help alleviate some of the shortage of systems problems we've seen recently

2. if mac eval moves to old laptop holding tank area having some macs processed by eval would really help cut down on moving and backtracking imacs from receiving to mac eval and then from mac eval to warehouse

3. Same thing for processing of old world macs(non-CRT) , non DP Graphite PowerMacG4s, PowerMacG3s etc. All we currently do with them is apply a rejected sticker and take them to eval - no value added to move them through building to maceval just to add a sticker and then backtrack to eval

4 Special instructions per model:

4.As far as PowerMac G4s better than Graphites (Quicksilvers, MDD, etc) all we do is remove HDD, battery and extra cards before putting them in warehouse. Eval could do this (or at least remove HDD) similarly to how they currently process PCs.

iLamp G4 - wireless card often not picked up by printme - should add iwreless installed & tested to Notes

Eval could start doing #3 and #4 tomorrow with very little change to instructions, etc since they already process most of these machines under our current procedures. Getting Receiving to identify which macs go to eval and which to mac-eval would probably require some training and assistance - possibly using something like our Mac eval binder with pictures, etc.
