Job Description for Event Planner
Scope
This job description is being created for Mary Doyle who will be coordinating Free Geek's 10th Anniversary event in October 2010.
Responsibilities
- Work with Staff advisory group (aka Event Planning Committee) to to gain an adequate overview of the needs of Free Geek regarding the 10th Anniversary event.
- Be responsive to their feedback.
- Delegate tasks as necessary
- Help determine how volunteers can be best utilized for the event and assist with coordinating them.
- Provide regular and ongoing status reports.
- Help craft budget for the event.
- Initiate and maintain communications with involved parties. This includes, but is not limited to, potential entertainment acts, venues, contributors, etc.
- Help set timelines to keep Free Geek on track for the event.
