The main outgoing voicemail message at Free Geek changes every month or two (or three). Usually, a core member with a welcoming voice records it. Below is the current message.
This is the FREE GEEK Community Technology Center. We're a computer and electronics reuse and recycling facility, on southeast Tenth Avenue two blocks south of Hawthorne.
If you would like to hear our hours, website address, what we accept for
donation, or how to volunteer, please keep listening. If you'd like to skip
this information and leave a message, press the pound key.
Our normal hours are eleven AM to seven PM Tuesday through Saturday.
If you are hearing this message during our business hours it means that the
phone is busy. Please leave a message or try again later. Also, information
on all of our programs can be found on our web site, freegeek.org.
We accept for recycling all computer equipment in any condition, but there is
a ten dollar fee for each monitor. We do not accept televisions, microwaves,
photocopiers, or smoke detectors, and we can't pick up materials for
recycling nor accept donations outside of our business hours.
If you are interested in earning a computer, volunteering in general, or in
any of our other programs please come in for a tour at noon or six any day
we're open to see the facility and learn more.
For more information check our website at freegeek-dot-o-r-g or leave a
message at the tone with your question, name and phone number.
