The Oregonian's web site does not permit searching anything older than 14 days. Since we have been covered numerous times by the Oregonian, and would like to share this coverage, this is wicked annoying.

Here's a workaround. It's a pain in the butt, but what the hey.

The NewsBank service has all Oregonian stories back to 1988 (and other media sources as well.) Anybody with a Multnomah County Library card can access this archive for free at through the library's web site.
