Proposal
Purchase used diesel van (3/4 ton) for use in pickups and deliveries. Convert van to bio-diesel or SVO. Seek partnerships with City of Portland OSD and/or Metro for assistance with costs.
Pickups would be offered as a service for fees.
Goals
A pick-up and delivery vehicle will:
- enable acceptance of more donations of high value computer equipment
- transport personnel and material between Portland and Free Geek Gresham locations
- facilitate cooperation with local neigborhood clean-up efforts
- allow for small scale collection events to take place at community events or businesses

Fixed Costs
- used 3/4 ton van = $6,000
- bio-diesel/SVO conversion = $750
- painting and sponsor logos = $2,500
Optional Fixed Costs
- used Wells Cargo style trailer = $3,500
- painting and sponsor logos = $1,500

On going costs
- insurance = $1,000/yr
- fuel = $400/yr (approx. 10 gal/per month @ $3.00/gal).
