Familiarize Yourself with Connectors
First, get a box of cards to be sorted, pour them into a pile in the center of the table, and rummage through them, looking for these connector types:
Name | Picture | Notes |
---|---|---|
HD15 | (three rows of holes) | |
RJ11 | (like for a phone) | |
RJ45 | (bigger than an RJ11) | |
BNC | (sticks out, like for cable TV) | |
Little Round Sound Ports |
Notes
- There will be other connector types, but the above ones are all you need to pay attention to in order to complete this job.
- Do not just sort the cards into piles based on the these port types. Instead, use the flow chart to determine the actual piles.
