All requests must include:
- The RT ticket number of the hardware grant request
- Directions for the drop off of the hardware including at least
- Where the hardware should be placed
- Inclusion of the RT ticket # and grant organization posted on the hardware
- Date of drop off
- Directions to update the affected RT ticket indicating the hardware is available
Requests for items from hardware testing should be sent directly to cprevatte (at) freegeek with the subject "Hardware Grants Request"
Requests for special laptops or Apple hardware be sent directly to scellef (at) freegeek with the subject "Hardware Grants Request"
Requests for items from Receiving should be requested via the Receiving queue in RT (or ToDo) with the subject being the hardware requested
For very unusual items please let the grant recipient know that we will keep an eye out for the next 90 days and will consider the request "unfillable" if we do not find a suitable item by then.
We have previously used wait lists and may do so when necessary, but these are not currently in use.
Hardware Grants Unicorn List This is a list of items that we rarely get that grant recipients have requested.
