Revision as of 14:21, 17 December 2004
The staff collective currently has 15 members. We drop to 14 until the end of the year, and with the hiring of a Tech Support Coordinator at the first of the year, we'll be back up to 15. There are currently 3 interns -- a Store Intern, a Front Desk Intern, and the Tech Support Exploratory Intern. When the Tech Support Coordinator is hired at the begining of the year, we will onlly have two interns.
Upcoming events:
January, 2005
Tech Support Coordinator begins as a collective position.
Richard starts bookkeeping duties, training with Oso and Michael Charno. At some point, we'll have enough money to hire an office coordinator who may take on this job.
=February, 2005 Homestreet Project should be done. Nathan should be working on turning offbeat hardware, laptops, phones, etc. into a program for volunteers that brings in a more consistent income stream for Free Geek.
=Summer, 2005 Geiner may be leaving and we will need to evaluate the printer refurbishing program. To hire a replacement, Free Geek needs an ideal three month's notice:
- one month for determining what to do with the position
- one month to hire (if necessary)
- one month for cross training
=Winter, 2005 or Spring, 2006
Marlin may be leaving and we will need to evaluate his Operation Co-coordinator position. To hire a replacement, Free Geek needs an ideal two month's notice:
