Purpose

Determine if a full time laptop program coordinator can sustain itself financially

Hours and Pay

28 hours/week Pay is approximately $10.25/hour

Duration

6 months

Reports due to staff and council at 3 and 6 months

Responsibilities

  • Organize the laptop area (Black Hole) to maintain and increase workspace and efficiency
  • Recruit (from within freegeek) and coordinate able students for the laptop program
  • Accomplish laptop program development including process refinement, documentation, and relevant outreach
  • Provide laptop repair education
  • Do laptop repair
  • Explore other underattended hardware and its possible reuse
  • Participate in Reuse and Hardware Grants committees
  • Work on the floor a few hours a week
  • Research and ensure responsible recycling of laptop parts
