Cards
This instruction sheet will be included in the Card vs Memory Lesson.
Cards are added to computer systems for a variety of reasons, usually related to absence or replacement of a connector in the on-board connections or to give the system an added or enhanced function.
Replacement Card
If the sound ports on the motherboard have stopped working, a sound card of the appropriate slot type can be installed to provide the sound functions to the system
Expansion Card
If the computer system is to be used for good quality music reproduction, a sound card that provides the needed characteristics can be added into an open card slot.
