Howto Migrations

  • Card and MoBo sorting howtos

wow this is a fun one for you to jump into

I created a wiki page from the card sorting howto a little while ago. The old howto had pictures of the things the text was talking about. I left the captions we had as placeholders if anyone wants to try to add pictures. We had erased the text instuctions for sorting motherboards when we went to just a flow chart. I also created a card sorting flow chart just for fun. - Blaine

The old howtos have many pages that could be combined and laid out like the evaluation pages

  • System Eval Howtos need looking over: integrate into wiki eval howtos

Everything from the old eval howtos that we could possibly want in the eval wikis is aready there. - Blaine

Staff Job Descriptions

each needs own page, with original page as index

printable version wiki link

Find the "printable version" link. There is a nice feature - a "print-friendly" version of a wiki page - that is not easily available in the default skin. (There is a link on every page if you use, for instance, the Cologne Blue or Classic skin.) It would be nice to get that back. Pete

format of wiki names

I'd like to change the standard format of Council minutes pages from this:

CouncilYYYYMMDD

to:

Council YYYY MM

And make sure the full date (including day-of-the-month) is at the top of the page.

As far as I can see, the only drawback (aside from the labor of making all the changes, which I'm willing to do) is that it would be a little less immediately apparent what day of the month a given upcoming meeting is on.

But I think the advantages are well worth it: (1) any frequent wiki user can easily go to a certain council minutes page, without having to find it or figure out the date; and (2) minute-takers can easily link to the previous and next month minutes, again without having to dig for the date.

What y'all think? Any objections?
