Salary/Benefits
  • Salary is $30,000 per year.
  • 3.6 weeks paid time off per year (combined vacation and sick time, based on an assumed 37 hours work week).

Work Hours
  • Four and a half to five days per week, Tuesday through Saturday, 10:30am to 7:30pm, some evening or morning meetings, with some flexibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Aid in the exposure of Free Geek to new communities using a variety of media tools
  • Keep records/status/inventory (tracking) of equipment
  • Responsible for program setup
  • Coordinate with Free Geek education Program
  • Coordinate with Free Geek Outreach program and media partners to disseminate final content
  • Schedule media classes
  • Ensure content of classes
  • Recruit student candidates and volunteer instructions
  • Track student progress and hours
  • Produce final reports
  • Coordinate with appropriate parties to obtain infrastructure
  • Coordinate with media partners to enhance education component of program
  • Attend Education Committee meetings
  • Document curriculum and content of classes
  • Research and integrate new technologies as they arise
  • Fulfill requirements of Grant
  • Miscellaneous responsiblilities as needed
