QC Steps

  1. Lappy doesn't rattle? (Pick up Lappy and shake)
  2. Are all the screws present and in tightly?

  5. Clean the lappy up, replace parts if necessary.
  6. Is the floppy set to boot first in BIOS?
  7. Is the parallel port enabled on 0x378 & set to EPP or Bi-Directional?
  8. Login as oem (password:freegeek), open a terminal, & enter "basiccheck"
  9. Check mouse & keyboard (every key!) to ensure they work correctly
  10. Check Time & Date
  11. Play an audio CD - everything normal?
  12. Read a data CD - does it work?
  13. Remove CD from drive
  14. Attach printer cable & enter "printme" in terminal
  15. BATTERY LIFE - WHAT'S THE COMMAND FOR THIS?
  16. Check sleep states
  17. Check in Build Instructor for where to put Lappy
  18. Clean up the mess you made
