Transiting worker checklist:
Transitioning from "nother" to Committed non-Collective Member:
- health care meeting
- Ask if they have any previously planned vacations
- Eligible under HIRE act? (Valerie)
- Staff Vacation Policies/Change in Schedule
- Arriving Late and Cancellations/Calling in Sick (review)
- Signing Checks, Contracts, Invoices
- Explain that this position is at-will employment and that he/she is subject to reviews
- Workspace/Office
- review current email lists, sign up for lists that are necessary (committee most related to job, etc.)
- Update HR Calendar with date of hire, 3-month probationary goal setting, 6-month probationary review
- Get photo and bio for staff page(http://www.freegeek.org/staff)
- what to expect during probationary period (buddy)
- How to tell you're doing well (on time, floor shifts, moving position forward, commitments)
Transitioning from Collective member to Committed non-Collective member:
- retirement - take off
- remove staff wiki account
- remove access to RT queues
- remove from staff email list - add to paidworkers
- update HR calendar noting change in category
- change category page on the wiki
- check-in about other email lists - which should the person stay on?
- change category on the website
