As the Environmental Representative on Free Geek's Board of Directors, you will be responsible for ensuring that the organization fulfills it commitment to protecting the environment and operating in an ecologically responsible fashion. In order to facilitate this goal, an Environmental Representative should meet the following criteria:
- Be able to advocate on behalf of Free Geek with regard to legislative issues that affect the organization. Must maintain awareness of and involvement in public policy creation.
- Be able to demonstrate familiarity with environmental issues as they pertain to Free Geek's values and mission. Awareness of local and state-level issues are particularly important.
- Possess an interest in reuse and recycling as mechanisms for maintaining a healthy environment.
