Future FreekBox

• Some discussion is starting between Portland, Columbus, and Olympia FreeGeeks in about coordinating future distro developments.

• Columbus has a Gnome version of FreekBox3, available at http://freegeekcolumbus.org/devel/freebox

• IRC meetings are held regularly: Distro_Meetings

• Olympia is proposing modest, tasteful but tasty changes to the FreekBox GUI. See http://fgoly.org/fbo/

A base platform for building servers

GapBox

Basically a freekbox with personal software (like email clients) removed and anonymous auto login enabled, aimed at internet cafes and such. (Called Geek Acess Points at FG-PDX.) See GAP Machine Specs for details. GapBoxes are maintained by the Gapsters
