Volunteers who would like to bring in anything they could possibly "find" on the shelves of Free Geek (laptops, RAM, tablets, video cards, etc.) must have staff or volunteers fill out an equipment pass for them at one of the front desks. These forms can be found on Dead Trees.

Should volunteers require a long-term pass (they know they will bring the same equipment with them every time and volunteer regularly), they are to ask the area staff member for this right. Area staff have the discretion to accept or reject this request. If it is approved, area staff should send an email to front desk staff including the volunteer's name, geek ID # and specific equipment covered under the pass. Front desk staff will create the pass and return it to the requesting staff member for distribution to the volunteer. No pass will be issued for a period of greater than 6 months.
