Fire Inspection Checklist

General Work Areas

  • Isles must have a clearance of 42 inches across
  • No daisy chaining of electrical power strips
  • hole in walls and cielings must be patched

Power Panel Locations

  • All power panels must be kept clear and accessable minimum of 48 inches clearance around them.

Fire Exits

  • Fire exits must be lit with a clearly defined lighted exit sign with battery backup. These units are powered from house power and should stay on at all times.

Fire extinguishers

  • These must be checked annually. The tags must reflect an inspection has been performed in the calendar year.

Located in the attic space above Receiving, with air conditioning condenser on roof.

upstairs remodel

Purpose

The purpose of the remodel is to finish the floor in old printerland.

The project is funded by a personal grant for the classic gaming library.


Scope of work to be done

We are going to add floor Joists to strengthen the structure of the floor and add flooring to the rest of the space. The work will be done to code specifications. The furnace will be relocated and duct work rerouted as needed.


To do Tasks

  • clear all equipment from work area
    • store in big classroom
  • roll up insulation and bag for reinstallation

  • uninstall furnace
  • remove existing blocking
  • add new joists and shore up beams
    • allow for Cable infrastructure (cable trays and trap door access)

  • blocking reinstalled where needed
  • HVAC ducting in floor

  • Add walls
    • at least one wall to contain the CGL
  • Move equipment from platform (museum)
  • remove floor 1x12 existing
