GEEK PROM is a annual spring fundraiser with a high school prom theme. It is scheduled for Friday, April 1st! Outreach committee oversees this event. The theme this year is:
- Geek Prom 2005: Kissed by a Daemon (A Glamorous Geeky Gala)

Coordinators
- Music/DJs: Co and Pariah - Katrina
- Establish schedule
- Stage manager - MNR
- MNR needs to figure out sound stuff with Oso/Katrina. Will be here Saturday.
- Games like limbo/musical chairs/Meet the Geek - MNR
- Food/Drink - Oso
Get caterer to prep in exchange for FreekBox, pay for ingredients = $200
- Alcohol coordination - Liane/Oso by 3/18
- Fundraising - Shawn
- Outreach - Oso

- Construction: we need to hang the truss - Oso
- Volunteers - Miana/Shawn/MNR
Ticket-takers/ID check (3 step), bartenders, setup, teardown, food watcher, photo booth assistant
Fundraising Ideas

Will earn ~$2500 for 250 tickets System: pre-pay $10, $12 at door; available at store and front desk and CR office
- Photo Booth
Pose with your favorite gizmo/museum item!
- Raffle/Door prizes/Prizes for games
- Ron says we could have a "No Free Hickies" Booth
- Dresses from Women's temple
- In store by 22nd
- Alcohol Sales: 2 kegs plus wine = $250
Permit = $50 Will earn ~$1750
- City Repair can help us and earn .5 of door and possibly .33 of drinks if they help find staff for the bar
- This can be the spring PAWC social? Can there be a PAWC discount price for tickets?
Q: can we have some groovy sponsors?
A: yes, we can. The nice geeks at backspace (the downtown confluence of various geek culture backspace.bz) are excited about GEEK PROM and want to help somehow, of course they need to know how. They are very proud of their geekness and said they have wanted to help us out for sometime now.
I talked to both owners Kris and Eric last friday of Feb. while critical mass was getting ticked.
ps Clout is always wearing their shirt so he could might want to be invloved.
