For high definition playback (720p, 1080p or 1080i videos and movies.) you need at least these minimum specs for HD playback; dual core processor of 2.0ghz or higher. 512mb or more RAM and a monitor supporting 1024x768 or higher screen resolution. For lower systems you need a Nvidia 8400 or later PCI-E graphics card for linux video decoding support ATI/AMD/Intel graphics are not supported unless they are graphics from 2010 or later (HD4000 or later for ATI/AMD and intel 4500MHD or later Also you need SMplayer or VLC installed to play the file. This limits the selection of machines available in Free Geek to the high end only for this feature.
