The ROCK STAR COORDINATOR works closely with staff from all areas of Free Geek to identify hardware needs, outreach to local entities who can meet these needs (i.e. businesses, public organizations, etc.), and sustains ongoing conversations with these entities to foster long-term partnerships.

Additionally, the ROCK STAR COORDINATOR is responsible for working with staff to identify, investigate, and potentially implement alternate income/ hardware streams , e.g. fundraising campaigns, advertising, etc.

The successful ROCK STAR COORDINATOR:

  • gets excited about the PR and marketing end of this position,
  • has a proven history of stellar communication (phone, email, documentation, etc.),
  • genuinely understands what Free Geek is all about,
  • is excited to step up to the challenge of engaging multiple stakeholders and work collaboratively with them all to accomplish what the organization needs
  • has one eye always looking towards Free Geek's future,
  • is super personable and enjoys talking with people, and
  • has a strong sense of humor.

Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with PR, Production, and Receiving coordinators to
