Mandates are things we are required to do, usually by an outside force. This can include expectations as well as regulations.

(This list is way incomplete, and needs lots of work just to start it up.)

  • We are required by PCI to have a network security policy in order to process credit cards.
  • We are strongly encouraged by the IRS to have policies on:
    • conflicts of interest,
    • whistleblower,
    • document retention and destruction,
    • joint ventures,
    • review of the 990, and
    • executive compensation.
