The Program

MacBuild is a post-Build program available to volunteers who have completed the Build program and are looking for something new and different. The MacBuild area works specifically with both desktops and laptops manufactured by Apple.

Areas

The are a few areas available in MacBuild. There is presently no general sequence or progression to the various areas, but new volunteers will generally start by working in MacBuild's Eval are to develop some familiarity with the different types of systems they will be working with.

  • MacBuild Eval - learn the basic of working with Apple systems and control the flow of systems into MacBuild
  • MacBuild Desktop Build - assemble and build up various types of built-in CRT/LCD and PowerMac systems
  • MacBuild Laptop Build - become a veritable Dr. Frankenstein of Apple laptops as you take two or more dead systems to make one fully-functioning machine
