These are the current (2/21/2014) specs for Macintosh builds and as-is computers.

Desktops

iMac PPC

Only build G5 models if requested by the store. Online sales might request screens and logicboards for ebay. G3 (CRT style) and G4 models are instant recycles.

iMac Intel (All-in-one LCD)

  • Core Duo models are to go through As-Is testing, then parted out for sales. Screens and logicboards are sent to Online Sales
  • Core 2 Duo and higher are to have a 250-320gb HDD and 4gb of RAM.

Power Mac PPC

Only build if requested by the store. Online sales might request logicboards.

Mac Pro Intel (Xeon)

To be built with Mac OS, with a minimum of a 320gb HDD and 4gb of RAM. Preferred amounts is a 500gb HDD and 8gb of RAM.

Mac Mini PPC

Only build if requested by store.

Mac Mini Intel

  • Lower than Core 2 Duo are to be built with Mac OS, with a 120-160gb HDD and 2gb of RAM.
  • Core 2 Duo and above are to be built with Mac OS, with a 250-320gb HDD and 4gb of RAM.

Laptops

iBook and Older

Recycle unless requested by Online Sales

PowerBook G4

As-Is

MacBook

  • Core Duo and lower are As-Is
  • Core 2 Duo below 2.4GHz are to be built with Mac OS, with 120-160gb HDD and 2gb of RAM
  • Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz or higher are to be built with Mac OS, with 160-320gb HDD and 4gb of RAM

MacBook Pro

  • Core Duo and lower are As-Is unless requested to be built out by the store.
  • Core 2 Duo below 2.4GHz are to be built with Mac OS, with 160-320gb HDD and 2-4gb of RAM
  • Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz or higher are to be built with Mac OS, with a a 250-320gb HDD and 4gb of RAM.
  • Core i series are to be built with Mac OS, with 320gb or more HDD and a minimum of 4gb of RAM

MacBook Air

Build out with Mac OS, use SSD and RAM installed in the system. THE SSD MUST BE FULLY WIPED PRIOR TO INSTALLING AN OS.
