  1. Almost all meetings that are scheduled on the Perpetual Meeting Calendar page of the Wiki (http://wiki.freegeek.org/index.php/Perpetual_Meeting_Calendar) are considered “open” meetings. That is, board members, paid staff, volunteers and community members are allowed to observe, but not contribute to or otherwise participate in, any meetings that occur on a regular schedule during the Free Geek business day excluding Human Resources and Collective meetings.
  2. Meeting observers may not participate in discussions or decision-making except at the request or upon petition of the regular meeting attendees. Requesting or approving outside participation requires consensus among the regular meeting attendees.
  3. Bargaining Unit members who choose to attend meetings in an observational role will not be paid for the time spent in the meeting without supervisor approval.
  4. To increase transparency, meeting attendees should follow the prescribed methods found on the Meeting Tips page of the Wiki (http://wiki.freegeek.org/index.php/Meeting_Tips) in regards to minutes-taking.
