Hard Drives

• Bins Required:
  • Chassis (Use a medium sized bin to avoid excessive weight)
    • QC into: HD chassis gaylord
  • Circuit Boards
    • QC into: Category 3 circuit board barrel
  • Steel - screws and loose steel brackets
    • QC into: Schnitzer steel bin.
  • Foam Pads - (can go directly go into trash cans.)
    • QC into: Garbage

• Special tools:
  • Phillips 00 and Torx 4 for laptop size drives.

• Special Notes:
  • We should have the tools required to remove the boards from laptop drives. In the past we have instructed volunteers to pry off the thing circuit boards so that they rip neatly around the screws.
